Ultima (later renamed Ultima I: The First Age of Darkness), is the first game in the series of role-playing games created by Richard Garriott. The original Ultima was created for the Apple II and published in 1981 by California Pacific. Two years later, in 1983 it was converted to Atari 8-bit and released for Atari 8-bit by Sierra On-Line.

In 1986, after Richard Garriott founder his company, Origin Systems, Ultima I was re-programmed, improving the graphics and adding minor changes. This new version was released for Apple IIgs, Commodore 64, DOS, MSX and other platforms.

Below you can find the download links for the 1983 Atari 8-bit version, and the 1986 remake for DOS.
