Game Review

Discworld II: Missing Presumed...!?, released as Discworld II: Mortality Bytes! in North America, is the second title in the Discworld series of graphic adventures based on Terry Pratchett's novels.

Created by Perfect Entertainment, Discworld 2 was released in 1996 for DOS and Windows and ported to Playstation and SEGA Saturn one year later.

Written and directed by Gregg Barnett, the plot takes inspiration from the books, but it doesn't follow them strictly. The main character is, again, Rincewind the wizard (dubbed by Monty Python's Eric Idle).

What makes this game great, is the amount of graphics and audio. Discworld is completely dubbed by professional actors, and it also has plenty of cutscenes. The adventure includes almost 25 thousand frames of cartoon animation, entirely hand-drawn. There are 4 acts, rich of humor, a lot of locations to visit, people to talk with and objects to find.

Whether you are a fan of Terry Pratchett's novels or not, this is a great graphic adventure you don't want to miss.
