Game Review

Clik Clak, released as "Gear Works" in the USA, is a logic-based game created by the Italian studio Idea Software in 1992 for Amiga and Commodore 64. It was also ported to MS-DOS, Game Gear, and Game Boy.

This little, mostly unknown, puzzler, can definitely be considered a typical example of "easy to learn and hard to master" game. A characteristic that only the best games have. The goal is simple: connect several randomly sized gears to connect one side of the playing area with the other side. Apparently, this will transform some famous monuments into clocks. Not so cool as collecting the six infinity stones, but that's not important.

What matters is the game is incredibly addictive, and you won't be able to stop playing very soon once you have started. The difficulty progression is perfectly tuned, also thanks to the two little monsters that will appear and will try to sabotage your creations.

Maybe the graphics could have been better, ok, but if you are looking for some brilliant challenges for your brain, Gear Works is the game for you.
