Prophecy: the Fall of Trinadon is a single-player action RPG designed by Richard L. Seaborne and published by Activision in 1989 for the MS-DOS.

Wars and rebellions are commonplace in a world dominated by a tyrant named Krellane. Son of a father who was forced into exile for being part of an insurrection, the hero possesses magical and martial arts training to one day bring down the evil leader. The moment the protagonist begins his quest to fulfill this prophecy comes without warning, as his village is massacred, and he is the only survivor.

As soon as the adventure begins, the player is introduced to a system of levels where he can check their statistics, such as strength, will, speed, etc. He starts without weapons and can barely defend himself from the enemies that, almost without presentation, begin to attack him. Similarly, as he progresses through the stages finishing with the enemies and gaining experience, many elements are unlocked to be used. Besides, the system of magic and personal statistics are of great value because the severe difficulty of the game requires that all the elements within the player's reach are used.

The title graphics are very pleasing to the eye. Even though the floor and many environments are generally black, they quickly lose focus as more vivid and intense colors surround them. Green and yellow are the most used in forest sectors and castles, where treasures and riches can be seen everywhere. The protagonist and the enemies have great size in comparison to other games. This is because, being very action-oriented, a greater emphasis is placed on the characters involved in the battles and the location of the frames so that they can attack each other.

Reviews of the game were generally positive, highlighting the graphics and the fun nature of the game. If you're searching for a title to introduce you to the world of RPGs, Prophecy: the Fall of Trinadon is just what you need.
