THIS PACKAGE COMES WITH ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE. THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO USE, RESULTS AND PERFORMANCE OF THE PACKAGE IS ASSUMED BY YOU AND IF THE PACKAGE SHOULD PROVE TO BE DEFECTIVE, YOU ASSUME THE ENTIRE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING, REPAIR OR OTHER REMEDIATION. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, CAN THE AUTHOR BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED IN ANY USUAL, SPECIAL, OR ACCIDENTAL WAY, ALSO IF THE OWNER OR A THIRD PARTY HAS BEEN POINTED AT SUCH POSSIBILITIES OF DAMAGE. This install applies to "Premiere" (floppy/CD³²) © 1992/1994 Core Design This install requires WHDLoad and RawDIC to be in the path. Both can be found in the WHDLoad package. To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert. The installed program requires 1.0 MB ChipMem and 1.0 MB OtherMem. It can be quit by pressing num '*' (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey="). If you have problems with this installation please try and get a newer version of this package from the WHDLoad WWW-Page. If that doesn't help try some Tooltypes like NOCACHE, NOAUTOVEC, NOVBRMOVE, NOMMU, PAL or NTSC. If that also fails, please inform the author via the Bug-Report-Form which can be accessed on the WHDLoad WWW-Page. For the full WHDLoad package, other installs and updates refer to: http://www.whdload.de/ or aminet:dev/misc/whdload#? and aminet:game/patch/ version 3.2 (20.08.2019): - fixed issue #0004100 (no need for EXPCHIP to avoid trashed gfx, and game still uses only 512k chip) - removed decruncher hack, increased fastmem by $1000 bytes, which allows to avoid it - quit with play+reverse+forward if a joypad is connected - added levelskip using CD32 pad yellow+forward buttons - added levelskip notes version 3.1 (23.03.2019) done by JOTD: - uses 512k chipmem only (and slightly more than 512k other mem) - fixes intro sound issue/crash (issue #0004087) version 3.0 (06.03.2019) done by JOTD: - option to jump with second/blue button - added ESC key to quit current game - game needed more than 1MB chip because of game decompression bug; fixed (game could work with 512k chip, but there's too much work for that ATM) - CD32 joypad support: play=pause, fwd+bwd=game over - adapted to whdload v17, slave completely rewritten - level select (including "boss" levels) - start with soundfx or music - in the menu ability to select music/sfx by pressing the 2nd button - removed the added "prem_abs" file which is useless after all (loader.bin file is enough) version 2.0 (28.11.2005) done by JOTD - RawDIC imager (use new RawDIC 4.0), direct wwp/ipf support - reworked install & readme - added icons - source code included version 1.2 (09.10.2001) done by JOTD - 2 versions supported, CD32 and floppy - Convienient installer script - Uses WHDLoad to run - Blitter waits inserted - CUSTOM5=1 enables Trainer mode: infinite lives, energy, and ammunition. - Quit key (even with NOVBRMOVE on) - Press the "/" on the numeric keypad to skip levels. - Doc file included - Nice icon by Frank - Tested with SNOOP version 1.0 (1997) done by JOTD: - initial JST release COMMENTS: Core Design released this ECS game, and they added patches for faster CPUs (there were GFX bugs in the scrolling), but I had to modify the patches, else the game crashed on 68020 with cache. Else, it's the same version as the floppy one (once again). The "SPARKPLUGS" cheatmode is useless now, and you can skip levels without having infinite lives. THANX TO Chris Vella for sending me the original floppies and bug reports in the install script. description of the CUSTOM options: CUSTOM1=1: trainer CUSTOM2=1: 2nd button jumps (up still used to enter the doors) CUSTOM3=1: start with sfx by default CUSTOM4=0-11: start level Note about levelskipper: If you use levelskip when on "backstage" (not the main theme, after entering a door where there are cameras, paint pots, Chuck Rock statues, etc...), it kind of works, but in the next level, when entering the backstage again, tiles are trashed. So avoid that.
