README

Short : HD-Installer for Wolfpack - (c) 1991 Novalogic/Mirrorsoft Type : game/patch Author: Galahad / Fairlight (galahadfairlight@yahoo.co.uk) This install applies to "Wolfpack" © 1991 Novalogic/Mirrorsoft Slave requires WHDLoad V16+. Game needs 1.0 MB Of Chipmem & 2.0MB of Fastmem (for preload option) Kickstart 1.3 SUPPORTED VERSIONS ------------------ - Original PAL release - Original NTSC release - CAPS IPF (ID:255) FEATURES -------- - Full Loading from HD - Load/Save Games to HD - Lame-o-Protect removed (Copylock) - Installer and nice Icons by Frank! - Quit Option (F10 key) or utilise ingame quit function Thanks to Tony Aksnes and BippyM for the images and to Philippe Bovier for testing and bug report EXTRA NOTES ----------- Rather oddly (and crudely) Wolfpack insists on using a Workbench disk to get the game to boot. Had the programmers simply stuck a startup-sequence and an S directory, the game would be fine. No memory issues are relevant for Novalogic to have insisted on this! To eliminate any messing around, a boot disk is provided for you which you *MUST* save the games to. The Wolfpack gamedisk is 99.7% full! The bootdisk will be DF0: in the savemenu, the Wolfpack gamedisk is DF1: The kickstart image must be located in the directory "Devs:Kickstarts" and must be named "kick34005.A500". The image can be extracted from an A500 with tools like "GrabKick" or similar which can be found on Aminet. If the image is the wrong version or altered in any way, WHDLoad will quit with an appropriate error message. Additionally the file "kick34005.A500.RTB" must be installed in the same directory as the kickstart image. It can be found in the archive "util/boot/skick343.lha" on Aminet. Kindest Regards, Galahad & Frank & Tony & BippyM END.
