UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, CAN THE AUTHOR BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED IN ANY USUAL, SPECIAL, OR ACCIDENTAL WAY, ALSO IF THE OWNER OR A THIRD PARTY HAS BEEN POINTED AT SUCH POSSIBILITIES OF DAMAGE. This install applies to "Yogi's Big Clean Up" © 1992 Hi-Tec. Requirements: ------------- This install requires WHDLoad and RawDIC to be in the path. These programs can be found in the WHDLoad package. To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert. The installed game requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+1.0 MB for preload). It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey="). Features: --------- - Full load from HD (real files!) - Protection removed (MFM) - Blitter waits added (x40, skipped on 68000, see below) - Keyboard routine recoded - ButtonWait tooltype supported for title picture - Trainers added (use Custom1-3, see below) - Custom4/5 can be used to disable/force blitter waits, see below - Source code included as usual - NewIcon (created by me) - Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10') Cute little game here. Started this patch back in summer 2009 and made most of it on my trip to Zurich to the Buenzli demoparty. The first version was made when I had to wait for my flight at the airport. Then, during the flight, I added a lot of blitter waits but there were still graphics errors and crashes. Then I more or less forgot about it until someone on EAB asked for the status of the patch a while ago. So yesterday I decided to redo the patch to use real files instead of a disk image just to see if that might fix the crashes and graphics errors. And lo and behold, it did! It was the better approach anyway as the game loaded 1 track at a time and decrunched it which resulted in a lof of OS swaps. I have no idea what caused the crashes but luckily I do not have to care about that any longer. The most interesting part of this patch was doing the imager, the game uses 16 different SYNCS in a different order for each track. The decruncher was also embedded in the loader so in order make the RawDIC imager save all files I had to emulate it in the imager. Patching the game wasn't much work as the code is quite clean. Except for the fact that no blitter waits were used at all there were no major problems. The blitter wait patches are skipped on machines with 68000 until you force them with the Custom5 tooltype. If you want to completely disable them use the Custom4 tooltype. To summarise: Custom4=1: this will disable all blitter wait patches Custom5=1: this will force the blitter waits even on 68000 machines, normally the blitter waits are only added on CPU's higher than 68000 I have also added some trainers, these are: Custom1=1: unlimited lives Custom2=1: unlimited energy Custom3=1: enables the built-in cheat, you can then use the following keys: F1-F5: skip to level 1-5 F9: show end sequence Tab: open exis 1-8: select the different objects Have fun with this game from HD now. Happy New Year, Sting, 12-Jan-2012 Greetings to all in Scarab and Scoopex, the WHDLoad team, PMC, Musashi5150, Skan, Slummy, Loaderror, Frequent, Wayne Kerr, Mr.Spiv and all the other usual suspects. :) Extra greetings to the usual suspects on #amigascne, see you all at Revision 2012! :) History: -------- version 1.01 (26.09.2015): - ButtonWait now checks fire button in port 2 too - updated to use WHDLoad v17+ features (config) version 1.00 (12.01.2012) done by StingRay: - initial release - supports SPS 2171 version - source code included Contact: -------- If you have problems with this installation please try and get a newer version of this package from the WHDLoad WWW-Page. If that doesn't help try some Tooltypes like NOCACHE, NOAUTOVEC, EXPCHIP, NOMMU, PAL or NTSC. If that also fails, please inform the author via the Bug-Report-Form which can be accessed on the WHDLoad WWW-Page. For the full WHDLoad package, other installs and updates refer to: http://www.whdload.de/ or aminet:dev/misc/whdload#? and aminet:game/patch/
