Supported versions: - Original release - SPS 1355 (Christian Sauer) - Hi-Tec Hanna-Barbera Cartoon Character Collection - SPS 2516 (Chris Vella) REQUIREMENTS: - Slave requires WHDLoad V17+. - Game requires 512kb chip mem (+400kb other memory for preload option) FEATURES: (06-Jul-2002) - Full load from HD - Decruncher relocated to fast memory - All files can be compressed to save space (FImp, Propack etc) - Keyboard routine recoded and enabled :) - Custom register addresses fixed (x47) - Blitter waits added (x34) - Colour bit fixed - Trainer added (press Help to toggle infinite lives and time) - ButtonWait tooltype supported for the title picture - RomIcon, NewIcon (me!) 3 x OS3.5 Colour Icons (Chris Vella) and a great Exotica style box icon (created by Christian Sauer!) - Quit option (default key is 'F10') VERSION 1.1: (27-Oct-2013) - Supports Hi-Tec Hanna-Barbera Cartoon Character Collection version - Added level skip with the Del key - Added option to skip blitter patches (set CUSTOM2=1) - Source code included - Now requires WHDLoad 17+ This is one of the most badly coded games I have ever seen! The programmer has used $df0000 all through the game for the Amiga hardware registers which means it is a miracle that the game ever worked! The keyboard routine was also badly coded. To add insult to injury, no blitter waits existed! Take a bow Gary Antcliffe! The imager for this game is one of the most tricky I have made. The game loads data a track at a time and uses self modifying code to decode the run-length encoded data across the track boundaries! I have had to allocate an extra 256k in the imager, decrypt the file to the buffer and save the files from there! If there are any other Hi-Tec games with this format, contact me for the source! :) Since the high score table is never displayed, I haven't bothered to save the highest score. I have removed support for the N.O.M.A.D cracked version because there are multiple variants of the crack with different disk labels, and most of them have a corrupt SCOOPEX_02 file. The original is easy enough to get these days anyway! :) You can set the tooltype CUSTOM1=1 to automatically start the game with infinite lives and time. If you wish to disable the blitter wait patches, set the tooltype CUSTOM2=1.
