This patch applies to "Beyond the Ice Palace" (c) 1988 Elite - 1 disk.
Supported: - Original release (Stephen Misfud and David Aiau)

           - Battleships/Beyond the Ice Palace compilation (IFW/CAPS)

REQUIREMENTS:
- Slave requires WHDLoad V10+ and RawDIC
- Game requires 512k chip mem (+250k other memory for preload option)

- Full load from HD
- 24-bit access fault fixed
- CPU dependant loops fixed
- Highscores are saved
- Trainer option added (set CUSTOM1=1 for unlimited lives and spirits)
- NI/ROM icon (created by JHZ)
- Quit option

VERSION 1.1: (13-Dec-1999)
- Trainer improved
- Fixed empty dbf loops
- Saves high scores (done by Codetapper)

VERSION 1.2: (Codetapper)
- Supports another 2 versions 
- Imager completely re-written with checksums for safety
- Loading picture is now displayed (on 2 versions)
- Now detects quit key correctly on all CPU's
- Trainer can be toggled in-game with the Help key
- Control setup screen before starting the game removed
- Instructions included
- RomIcon, NewIcon and OS3.5 Colour Icon (created by me!) and an OS3.5
  boxicon (created by Captain^HIT!)

It is strongly advised that you re-install the game because a number of
major changes have been made to it - the game files are now stored in a
data subdirectory, the disk image is now the correct size (previously too
big which causes corruption of the loading picture - which wasn't ripped!)
and the high scores are now encrypted and only saved if you do not cheat.

I have removed the annoying control setup screen that appears before
starting the game.  This means you can now play this game on a CD³².  The
default keys are Return to summon the spirit, Del to pause and Space to
unpause.  If you want to change the keys you can do that from the menu.
