This patch applies to "Charly" © 1991 Magic Soft

REQUIREMENTS

- Original disk or compatible disk image
  (Cracks have not been tested and are not supported)
- Slave requires WHDLoad 18+
- Game requires 512k chip memory
  (+ approx 460k memory for preload option)

FEATURES

- Game loads fully from HD
- Uses real files, which can be compressed with Propack/CrunchMania/FImp/XPK
- Quit game at any time (default key Del), including on 68000 machines
- Highscores saved to HD (can delete "Charly.highs" to reset)
- Level editor supported (press F10 from title screen to access)
  Levels saved in "user.levels" - can delete this to restore original levels
- Self-modifying code fixed
- Frame timing / raster line waits fixed
- CPU-dependent (empty DBF) loops fixed
- Color bit fixed
- Keyboard handler replaced
- Trainer options added - set CUSTOM1 with any of the following:
  + 1 for infinite lives
  + 2 for infinite time
  + 4 for infinite gas
  + 8 for in-game cheat keys (screen flashes blue for on, red for off):
    * F1 to toggle infinite lives
    * F2 to toggle infinite time
    * F3 to toggle infinite gas
    * HELP to skip the current level 
- Color/New/Rom Icons included
- Source code included

NOTE: The original game has 50 levels - the remaining passwords are used
if extra levels are added in the editor.

WORDS FROM THE AUTHOR

A nice little puzzle game, unfortunately with some self-modifying code that
breaks on any caching CPUs!

There is a full level editor built into the game! Press F10 on the password
screen to switch to it. The last saved levels (which the game loads by
default) are stored as 'user.levels'. You can delete this to restore the
original levels, or you can use the "REST." (Reset) button in the editor.
If you add extra levels, you can skip to them using the extra passwords
listed above.
