This patch applies to "9 Lives" (c) 1990 ARC - 1 disk.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Slave requires WHDLoad V13+ and RawDIC
- Game requires 512k chip mem (+920k other memory for preload option)

FEATURES:
- Full load from HD
- MFM disk image converted to files
- Loads and saves high scores (unless you cheat!)
- Trainer added (F1-F4 to start the game on the relevant level, F5 to start
  the end sequence and F6 to toggle infinite lives/energy/keys)
- Stack frame format bugs fixed in sound routine (x2)
- Certain function keys no longer crash the computer
- 24 bit access faults fixed (x8)
- Empty DBF loop fixed
- Instructions included
- Press fire to skip the title music
- All files can be compressed to save space (FImp, Propack etc)
- RomIcon, NewIcon and OS3.5 Colour Icon (created by me!) and 2 Exoticons

This game was extremely difficult to install! The disk switches between 2
custom formats and has no error checking. The initial sound effect playing
while the game loads would only work on a 68000 and the game is full of
24 bit access faults. I have playtested the game quite a bit and have found
8 so far but there maybe more so if you find the game crashes, make a 
dump of memory and send me the .whdl_register file and I'll fix it.

You can compress all the data files which will reduce memory requirements 
by about 400k.

You can set the tooltype CUSTOM1=1 to start the game with the cheat mode
on.  This will give you infinite lives, energy and keys, but if you cheat
your scores will not be saved.  You can safely start on a different level
and still have your scores saved.

This game will only work with the original version.  N.O.M.A.D's crack of
the game is not easy to adapt because he did not work out that the game
loads levels in 2 pieces.  Instead, it looks like he saved a large chunk of
memory after each load (which is completely unnecessary) and compressed it.
It took the original crack followed by 2 fixes before he had ripped the
data correctly and this means most versions are corrupt and therefore are
NOT supported by this install.
