README

Short: HD-Installer for Alfred Chicken V1.0 Author: Codetapper/Action (codetapper@hotmail.com), ICQ: 26051687 Uploader: Codetapper/Action (codetapper@hotmail.com) Version: 1.0 Type: game/patch This patch applies to "Alfred Chicken" (c) 1993 Twilight/Mindscape - 1 disk. Thanks to Adrian Simpson for sending the original! REQUIREMENTS: - Slave requires WHDLoad V10+. - Game requires 1.0Mb chip mem (+0.6Mb other memory for preload option) FEATURES: - Full load from HD - Keyboard routine fixed - Decruncher relocated to fast memory - Blitter waits added (x299) - Snoop and copperlist bugs fixed (x3) - Access fault fixed - Instructions included - Trainer added (set CUSTOM1=1 for infinite lives, Help to toggle on/off) - RomIcon, NewIcon and GlowIcon (created by Frank!) and 2 Exoticons (taken from http://exotica.fix.no) - Quit option (default key is 'F10') CHEAT MODE: - Taken from Sweet Cheater by Keith Krellwitz! - On the title screen, type "HELPMARK" for a level select screen. Press [1-9] or [A-B] to select the level you want. On level one go through the first door as usual. Then go to the far right bottom and jump up to go through a secret wall to get a special weapon, then exit. When you re-appear, jump on the spring at the bottom left and just as you start flying upwards push up so that you hit an invisible block with a door on it. Now go to the right across the floating platforms, but instead of going through the door as normal, stand on the edge above the door and fire the weapon. Another invisible block should appear jump on this block. Then jump up left and walk across the top of the screen to the first secret block and go through the door and you will enter a secret warp room. You can initially get infinite lives by setting CUSTOM1=1 in the tooltypes. During the game, pressing Help will toggle infinite lives on and off. This works no matter which tooltype setting you originally had. Thanks to Adrian Simpson for the original, Wepl for the magnificent WHDLoad, Keith for the original JST install, all Action members and the rest of the WHDLoad team!
