Thanks to Chris Vella for sending the original! REQUIREMENTS: - Slave requires WHDLoad V10+ - Game requires 930k chip mem (+2.7Mb other memory for preload option) FEATURES: - Full load from HD - 24 bit access faults fixed (x7) - IFF anim player bug fixed (bgt.b -> bge.b) - Empty DBF loops fixed (x8) - Blitter waits added (x17) - Colour bit fixes (x7) - Decruncher relocated to fast memory - Trainer added: 'Help' to skip levels, and 'Del' to toggle the cheat mode (set CUSTOM1=1 to enable it automatically). When the cheat mode is active you get infinite lives, fire, seekers, rockets, mines and the helicopter can take an unlimited number of POW's - Instructions included - RomIcon, NewIcons and OS3.5 Colour Icons (created by Chris Vella, Frank, Mad-Matt and me!) and 2 Exoticons (taken from http://exotica.fix.no/) - Quit option (default key is 'F10') CHEAT MODE: - Taken from Sweet Cheater by Keith Krellwitz! - During play, enter "KNARF" by doing the following: Press and hold 'K', press and hold 'N' while still holding 'K'. Release 'K', press and hold 'A' while still holding 'N'. Release 'N', press and hold 'R' while still holding 'A'. Release 'A', press and hold 'F' while still holding 'R'. Release 'R', release 'F'. You are now invincible to enemy fire. The cheat is disabled after you finish a level, so the cheat must be entered at the beginning of each new level. Quite simply, this install was a nightmare! After putting in a lot of 24 bit fixes for the intro I found a bug in the IFF animation depacking routine. Someone had put a bgt.b instead of a bge.b and that meant the game kept looking past the end of the IFF file. Fixing that one line meant the intro now worked without any bugs! Each of the levels had to be individually patched as the code was slightly different and in different places. The trainer code was adapted from the Toxic!/Hoodlum trainer - thanks dude! You can set CUSTOM1=1 to enable the trainer automatically. This game does not like to be run in NTSC mode - the screen will turn black if the chopper flies too low on the screen.
