This patch applies to "Diabolik 08: Un Piano Perfetto" © 1993 Simulmondo.

Supports the original release.

REQUIREMENTS

- Original disk or compatible disk image
- Slave requires WHDLoad 19+
- Game requires 448k chip memory, plus 192k any memory
  (+ approx 560k other memory for preload option)

FEATURES

- Game loads fully from HD
- Quit game at any time (default key F10), including on 68000 machines
- Progress can be saved and loaded (press S to save, L to load)
  - Can copy existing disk save from "DIABO8/FIL/lzr" to "data/FIL/lzr"
- OS calls removed (no Kickstart ROM required)
- CPU-dependent loops fixed
- Empty copperlist fixed
- Missing blitter wait added
- Byte write to audXvol register fixed (missing music notes)
- Trainers added - set CUSTOM1 with any of the following:
  + 1 for infinite ammo
  + 2 for infinite falls through gaps
  + 4 for infinite time
  + 8 for no damage from enemies/falling
- Skip credits option (set CUSTOM2=1)
- Color/New/Rom Icons included
- Source code included

WORDS FROM THE AUTHOR

This episode introduced dynamic memory allocation for cutscenes, used for
the dialog boxes. Since this game engine feature was also added to Dylan Dog
as of episode 7, it was nice and easy to port across my existing work.

Amusingly the engine also has the same missing blitter wait as Dylan Dog 07.
I guess this is just about the same engine in both (though not quite, as
there are still differences).
