THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO USE, RESULTS AND PERFORMANCE OF THE PACKAGE IS ASSUMED BY YOU AND IF THE PACKAGE SHOULD PROVE TO BE DEFECTIVE, YOU ASSUME THE ENTIRE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING, REPAIR OR OTHER REMEDIATION. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, CAN THE AUTHOR BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED IN ANY USUAL, SPECIAL, OR ACCIDENTAL WAY, ALSO IF THE OWNER OR A THIRD PARTY HAS BEEN POINTED AT SUCH POSSIBILITIES OF DAMAGE. This install applies to "Super Seymour Saves the Planet" © 1992 Codemasters. Requirements: ------------- This install requires WHDLoad to be in the path. To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert. The installed game requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.3 MB for preload). It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey="). Features: -------- - Full load from HD - Protection removed (Copylock) - Access faults fixed (x2) - Incorrect blits fixed - Blitter waits added (x31) - Interrupts fixed - F10 bug fixed (uninitialised trap 2 vector) - DMA wait in replayer and sample player fixed (x2) - Replayer bugs fixed - Highscore load/save added - ROM icon (ripped by Midwik, created by JHZ) - Source code included - Quit option that works on 68000 machines History: -------- version 1.3 (17.06.2022) done by StingRay: - patch redone - files moved to "data" directory - more trainer options added - access faults fixed - highscore load/save added (saving disabled if any trainer options are used) - out of bounds blits fixed - DMA wait in replayer and sample player fixed - incorrect handling of F10 key disabled (issue #5680) - interrupts fixed - replayer bugs fixed - blitter wait patches can be disabled with CUSTOM2 - source code included - 68000 quitkey support - new install script version 1.2 (07.07.2006) done by Bored Seal: - taglist termination fixed to work with WHDLoad v16.6 version 1.1 (16.09.1999) done by Bored Seal: - decruncher moved to fast memory - trainer added version 1.0 (18.01.1999) done by Bored Seal: - initial release Notes for the V1.3 update: -------------------------- A problem with the old patch (V1.2) was reported on Mantis a few days ago. When using the default quitkey (F10), WHDLoad would display an error. This was caused by a bug in the game code, the disk version of the game simply crashes when F10 is pressed. It probably is left-over debug code or something similar and has now been disabled. When looking for the reason for this, I noticed more problems which were not fixed in the old patch and simply created a new one from scratch. You do not have to reinstall the game, moving the file "ssyemour.bin" to the "data" directory is enough. The "VC" file is no longer needed and can be deleted. I had to fix a few access faults, these were caused by using 32-bit accesses to obtain data pointers without properly initialising the used registers. There also were bugs in the replayer (wrong access to song/sample data) which have been fixed too. As usual, I have also added some trainer options, if you use any of these, the highscore saving will be disabled. Thanks to Mark Knibbs for disk image. Contact: -------- If you have problems with this installation please try and get a newer version of this package from the WHDLoad WWW-Page. If that doesn't help try some Tooltypes like NOCACHE, NOAUTOVEC, EXPCHIP, NOMMU, PAL or NTSC. If that also fails, please inform the author via the Bug-Report-Form which can be accessed on the WHDLoad WWW-Page. For the full WHDLoad package, other installs and updates refer to: http://www.whdload.de/ or aminet:dev/misc/whdload#? and aminet:game/patch/
