All New World of Lemmings is the third entry into the Lemmings franchise. It was developed by DMA Design and published by Psygnosis in 1994 for Amiga and DOS.
All New World of Lemmings (a.k.a. Lemmings Chronicles) picks up the story after the Lemmings escaped their homeland and weathered a terrible storm. Once the clouds clear, the Lemmings find themselves near a set of islands and decide it is as good a place as any to build their new home. Though there are 12 lemming tribes total, you will only be playing as 3 of them: Classic, Egyptian, and Shadow. You are free to pick and choose which tribe’s missions to do and can always switch to another tribe whenever you want to. For those unfamiliar with the Lemmings series, you control a horde of cute little creatures and use their skills to get past obstacles. All of the lemmings will fall into the level one after the other, and they walk until they encounter something that they cannot overcome, like a wall. They will then reverse direction and head the other way. Unlike the previous entries, All New World adds the ability to change the direction of your lemmings yourself. The lemmings have inherent skills of their own but can also pick up items they can use to do specific actions. Your goal is to escape each level with as many lemmings as you can.
If you’re looking for a challenging puzzle game, this is an excellent place to start. Fans of the original Lemmings didn't appreciate Lemmings Chronicles because it's too different from Lemmings 1 and &, but I always enjoyed this franchise myself and strongly recommend it for puzzle lovers.
