Thunder Force IV is a horizontal scrolling shoot-em-up created by Technosoft for the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive in 1992. For some strange reasons, it was renamed Lightening Force: Quest for the Darkstar in the U.S.
It is the fourth and last chapter of the Thunder Force saga and follows Thunder Force III. It is considered one of the best games developed for the SEGA 16-bit console.
