The Ninja Warriors is a coin-up for two players created by Taito in 1988. The game was ported to numerous home computer platforms by Virgin Games.
The Amiga port was programmed by Random Access (also known as The Sales Curve as publisher label), the same development team of S.W.I.V. and Silkworm.
The ninjas of the game are two fighting robots created by Earth's resistance to free the world from the evil dictator Bangler. The warriors can use their swords, shuriken, and of course, their fantastic agility to eliminate the army of the tyrant. Besides the regular opponents, armed with a knife and guns, you will be attacked by all sorts of mini-bosses. Occasionally, you will also have to face a tank.
Porting the game was not an easy task, considering the original arcade was using 3 screens. Random Access opted for a sort of letterbox format, reducing the size of the sprites. The result is excellent. If we add high-quality sounds and the fantastic Dynamic Loading System - that allows the game to load resources from the disk without interruptions - we can only appreciate the developers' work.
