Super Breakout is an enhanced version of the popular arcade Breakout made by Atari. This new edition was released in 1978 as a coin-op, two years later the original game. Then in 1979, an Atari 400/800 version was published. There was also an Atari 2600 version in 1981, followed by many others.
The improvements of this game include the progressive mode, where you will see the bricks advancing line by line towards you (kind of Space Invaders style), and a dual paddle mode. There is also a multiplayer mode.
Even if Breakout was surpassed, in terms of popularity and new features, by Arkanoid, it's always good to back to the origins. Super Breakout is considered one of the best games created for the Atari 2600.
