Wings of Fury is an action game, with some elements of 2D flight sim, set in the Pacific during World War II. Developed and published by Brøderbund Software, the game was released initially in 1987 for the Apple II, then ported to Commodore 64, DOS, Amstrad CPC, and Amiga. There is also a Gameboy Color version, slightly modified to reduce violence.
In fact, in this game, you have to bomb enemy bases, turrets, and barracks, and kill Japanese soldiers with the machine gun of your F6F Hellcat plane. In case you are wondering if this game isn't a bit politically "incorrect", well, you are not the only one. But if you like the genre, it can be really fun.
