PGA European Tour is a golf simulation created by Polygames and released by Electronic Arts for SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive.
The game, designed by Lee Actor and Dennis Koble, belongs to the Electronic Arts PGA Tour Golf series, and it's a sort of remake/sequel of PGA Tour Golf and PGA Tour Golf II, but in this case, it's based on the European tournament. It includes 5 European Courses and Tournaments and 10 European players.
PGA European Tour was not released for MS-DOS, unlike the first game, but it was published by Ocean also for the Amiga AGA models, including Amiga CD32.
One of the best things about the title was its attention to detail. The game accurately simulated ball physics, wind speed, and other factors that affected gameplay. This made for a more realistic and engaging experience that golf enthusiasts would appreciate. Additionally, the game's sound effects and music were well-done, adding to the game's overall atmosphere.
One downside of the game was its lack of innovation compared to its predecessors. Despite this, it's still considered the best golf simulation available for Mega Drive/Genesis and Amiga.
