Pinball Illusions

Pinball Illusions is an arcade pinball game developed by Digital Illusions and published by 21st Century Entertainment. It was released for DOS and Amiga in 1995.

It’s the third in a set following Pinball Dreams and Pinball Fantasies. This third installment was the first to feature the ability to use more than one ball, dubbed ‘multiball’. It was also the first to be released for Amiga models with AGA chipset, featuring 256 color graphics.

Pinball Illusions has a set of three (four on some versions) tables, each with their own theme. The themes are Babewatch, Law ‘n Justice, and Extreme Sports (Vikings as the 4th). Each table’s theme has different setups and goals that you must meet in order to complete it. In true pinball style, there are flippers to bop the balls around the board, hitting things to score points. It is also possible to set up combos and play bonus areas on each table. Illusions also allows you to have up to 6 balls in play at once, though this takes some getting used to.

Ranked by critics as the best Amiga pinball game, it landed at #23 on the Amiga Power Best Game of All Time list. Go back and experience this all but extinct genre all over again. Each table features a beautifully rendered background and non-stop action. It will leave you constantly trying to beat your own high score.
