Rejoice! GamesNostalgia just reached its second birthday! Many things have happened since April 14th, 2015, when your favorite retrogaming website was first launched.

We started from scratch, with a few games, and no visitors at all. One year later we had a database of almost 500 games, and 35k visitors per month were visiting us. Now, after 2 years, we have 100k users per month. Every day, between 2000 and 3000 files are downloaded from GamesNostalgia. Wow!

The number of games has not increased so much in the last 12 months, we haven't reached 600 games yet. But GamesNostalgia has never been about quantity. Our focus is quality. As you know, our packages are carefully prepared, all games are configured and ready to be played on your PC or Mac. We are really happy when someone notices it and write us to say thank you. For example, have a look at the message below... we love you Mike!

Last November we started a long process of regeneration of all the packages, mainly to update the emulators to the latest version but it was also the chance to enhance the games and solve some bugs. One of the improved games was the wonderful Star Trek 25th Anniversary. The process was really huge, it lasted 3 months and in the end we re-created more than 900 packages. This will be a never ending task, but the good news is now the system is almost automated.

We are now able to create packages for Amiga and MS-DOS games, as well as Commodore 64, MSX and Scumm adventures. Those packages are normally made in two versions, one for Mac and one for PC. We also have a solution for Sega Genesis and Mega Drive, but we haven't been able to make it work on Mac, sorry. At the moment it's just for PC. Now, the next target will be ZX Spectrum.

Recently, after many requests, we started uploading non-English versions of the games. Some examples? Dune is available in Italian and English; Elvira: Mistress of the Dark is available in French, German and English; Flashback, Future Wars, Cruise for a Corpse and Lure of the Temptress are also available in several languages. To know which files we are adding, remember to check our Change Log page.

Last but not least, you might have noticed our series of articles about famous game designers. Our amazing reporter Tasha has written some beautiful posts about Geoff Crammond, Roberta Williams, Paul Cuisset and Julian Gollop. If you missed them, go and read them, you won't regret it.

Live long and prosper GamesNostalgia!

Thank you so much for being a website that gives what it promises without the use of frankly obnoxious amounts of ads or any sort of deceptiveness about how free the free games really are. Keep up the good work, guys!

I just had to bookmark this website, I lost access to it and could never find it again. (Google has blacklisted the site) or it was blocked from public access. Luckily I had previously commented on the site and the messages that linked to the site was saved it my Disqus comment area and I was able to bookmark the website.
