King's Quest is a graphic adventure created by Roberta Williams in 1983, originally for the IBM PCjr, then ported to many platforms including Apple II, Amiga, Atari ST, MS-DOS, and many others. It is the first chapter of the popular King's Quest series, and it was the first game developed with Sierra's AGI game engine.
The release we offer on GamesNostalgia is the "enhanced" version for Amiga released in 1990, also known as Roberta Williams' King's Quest I: Quest for the Crown, featuring an enriched story, better graphics, and an expanded soundtrack.

Great throw back to my youth! However, I'm unable to complete the game. Once I make good progress, save tends to fail. I then exit and re-enter the game, but when I try to restore a saved game, I get the message:
That game was saved under a different interpreter. It cannot be restored.
