Winter Games is a sports simulation created by Epyx originally for the Commodore 64. It was published in 1985, as a sequel to Summer Games, the highly successful title based on the 1984's Olympic games.
The Amiga version, developed by Incredible Technologies, was published in 1987. The game was also ported to Atari ST, MS-DOS, MSX, Sega Master System, and many other platforms. The players can compete in different disciplines, including alpine skiing, ski jumping, biathlon, figure skating, bobsled, speed skating, and others. Each one is like a mini-game, and some of them, for example, biathlon, could be easily considered a standalone game.
Winter Games is one of the best-selling Commodore 64 titles ever, with more than 250,000 copies sold. It's also probably one of the best winter sports sims ever created.
The conversion to Amiga was excellent, and it preserved the original gameplay while enhancing the graphics. Of course, playing this against a friend is almost mandatory!
