Aliens Online was a massively multiplayer first person shooter released on the GameStorm subscription service. Multiplayer mode is not active anymore but you can play offline changing the settings as follows:
1) Locate the file "Main.dat' in the root of your Aliens Online folder and open it with Notepad.
2) Scroll down until you locate the heading "socket".
3) Change "protocol=aries" to ";protocol=aries" (add the semi-colon) and ";protocol=single" to "protocol=single" (take out the semi-colon) or add "protocol=single" if there isn't one.
