Asterix: Operation Getafix (Asterix - Operation Hinkelstein in the German release) is an action-adventure based on the character of the famous comic invented by Goscinny and Uderzo. The game was created by Coktel Vision and released in 1989 for the Commodore Amiga, MS-DOS, and Atari ST, two years after Asterix and the Magic Carpet.
The graphics are the game's best aspect: very colorful, a perfect conversion of the comics. At the same time, unfortunately, the gameplay is affected by imperfect programming and not-so-responsive controls. So, while Operation Getafix works well enough as an adventure game, the action mechanics are quite bad.
Anyway, if you are a fan of the Asterix comics or like cartoon graphics videogames, this is something you can try.
