Temple of Apshai, the first game of the Dunjonquest series, is a dungeon crawler RPG developed by Automated Simulations (now Epyx) initially in 1979. It was then ported to DOS and Commodore 64 in 1982. It is considered one of the first graphical role-playing games for home computers, together with Ultima's precursor Akalabeth: World of Doom. Several sequels followed, thanks to the tremendous success of the game (more than 30,000 copies sold).
