Eye of the Beholder is a dungeon crawler role-playing game based on the AD&D rules developed by Westwood Associates. It was published by Strategic Simulations Inc at the end of 1990.
The Amiga version released in 1991 used the classic ECS graphics, with 32 colors on the screen, while the PC version used VGA graphics with 256 colors. In 2006, the Amiga version was fully rewritten by fans. They used a reverse engineering technique to extract the VGA graphics from the PC version and add it to the Amiga version. So now, all Amiga AGA models can enjoy what was not possible in the 90's, exploring the Eye of the Beholder dungeons in full 256 colors graphics!
Not only this, but this fan-made release also offers a fantastic auto-map. Something that was not even available on the PC version. If you want to play this game again, this is really the version you should choose.
