Pitstop II is a racing simulation created by Synergistic Software and released in 1984 by Epyx for the Apple II, Atari 8-bit, and Commodore 64.
Unlike the first game of the series, Pitstop II introduced a "behind-of-the-car" view, a solution that would become standard in these types of games; just think about OutRun or Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge, for example.
But the best part of the game was the split-screen view: even on a normal Commodore 64, you could compete with your friends or the computer to see who is the race winner. Incredibly fun and incredibly advanced for those years. Pitstop II is a true milestone in the history of racing sims.
