Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards is the first game in the series of adult-oriented adventures created by Al Lowe.
Not many know that this game was a graphical adaptation of the text-adventure Softporn Adventure designed by Chuck Benton and released in 1981. The character of Larry was created by Lowe, but the plot and the settings of the game are the ones of the early text-adventure.
Like many early Sierra games, it uses the AGI engine, and it's based on text commands. Some year later Sierra would release Leisure Suit Larry Enhanced, with a fully point-and-click interface and 256 colors graphics.
