The player creates a party of four heroes, chosen from 4 different classes: fighter, cleric, magic-user, and druid. Your party will have to travel through the twenty-eight levels of the “Tomb of the Four Heroes” hidden in the Black Crypt is the evil Estoroth Paingiver, a powerful cleric. He was banished to the crypt for committing unspeakable acts but is now trying to break out.
This game is one of the best early RPGs. The gameplay is not so different from Dungeon Master or Eye of the Beholder, with first-person, pseudo-3D navigation of the dungeons. But the atmosphere is just incredible. You can hear the creatures sneaking up behind you. The graphics were pretty good for the time; it was one of the few games using the Extra Half-Bright graphics mode (EHB) of the Commodore Amiga to display 64 simultaneous colors on screen.
