Arcticfox is one of the first 3D games ever created for the Amiga. It puts the player in the cockpit of a futuristic tank, on an alien world covered by snow. The game, developed by Dynamix, was released by Electronic Arts in 1986, even before the most popular Amiga models were even released.
The title designed by Paul Bowman (MechWarrior), and programmed, among the others, by Damon Slye (A-10 Tank Killer, Red Baron) and Jeff Tunnel (Rise of the Dragon, The Incredible Machine) is a mix between action, tactic, and arcade-simulation. It received numerous prizes and was also ported to Amstrad CPC, Apple II, Atari ST, Commodore 64, DOS, MSX, and ZX Spectrum
