Fantasy World Dizzy is the sequel to Treasure Island Dizzy, and the third game in the Dizzy series, an action-adventure platformer created by Codemasters initially for the ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC.
The series, whose hero is an egg, was designed and coded by two brothers known as the "Oliver Twins": Andrew Nicholas Oliver and Philip Edward Oliver. The series started in 1987 with Dizzy: The Ultimate Cartoon Adventure. It's not a simple platformer, because Dizzy needs to explore the world, collect items, talk with other characters, and solve puzzles.
Fantasy World (also known as Dizzy III) was released in 1989 for the 8-bit platforms, while the Amiga version, presented here, was released in 1991.
Despite the difficulty of the first levels, this third game is considered one of the most polished, better looking, and most enjoyable of the Dizzy games.
