It's one of the first examples of solid 3D polygon-based graphics running on home computers. Although the speed on 8-bit platforms was not exciting, the game was still amazing and a great example of what could be achieved on platforms like the Commodore 64. Some people define The Sentinel as the first "virtual reality game".

Plays great, Thanks! TAP format is no problem as VICE's Alt-W warp mode makes for a quick load time. Super neato experience playing this C64 classic. Cheers!
We had to change from the Nib file to the TAP format but now it works. Package also includes the new version of VICE (3.1) and some instructions. Just download it again and enjoy!
