Game Review

Fiendish Freddy's Big Top O' Fun is a circus mini-game collection created by Christopher Gray for Mindscape. It was originally published in 1989 for Atari ST, Amiga, and MS-DOS and later ported to ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, and Commodore 64.

In this title, you must test your skills in different disciplines, including diving, juggling, trapeze, knife throwing, tightrope, and human cannonball. To make things worse, the evil clown Fiendish Freddy will try to sabotage you.

Despite the atmosphere being innovative, Fiendish Freddy will remind you of multi-type sports games such as California Games, Summer Games, and Winter Games. Some practice will be required to master these different events. Sometimes, they are a bit frustrating because they need attention to the single pixels. Apart from this, Fiendish Freddy is an addictive title with excellent graphics and some good ideas. Maybe you won't play for days, but you can have a lot of fun, especially if you play with friends.
