Turbo Outrun is the sequel to the original OutRun and was developed by SEGA and published by U.S. Gold in 1989 for the Amiga, Commodore 64, and many other platforms. Turbo Outrun is a racing game like the first one and features similar play mechanics.
Turbo Outrun is meant to play fast and furious. Just like the first one, you get to be behind the wheel of a Ferrari (a Ferrari F40, to be exact) and try to beat the clock. You must complete each track within a specific time limit. Failure to do so will cost a continuation, and you only get five. The most significant changes from the first game are that the race locations are set on a linear path, you now have an opponent, and you can get a ‘turbo’ speed booster. Cops will also be hot on your tail; you must either outrun them or run them off the road.

Budokan: The Martial Spirit is a martial arts fighting game developed and published by Electronic Arts in 1989 for the Amiga and DOS. Since its release, it has been ported to many other platforms.
Starting out, you are merely an apprentice and must gain skills before entering the Budokan. Your character trains in four dojos that offer different martial arts: Bo, Karate, Kendo, and Nunchaku. Once ready, you may enter the Budokan and compete in matches to claim the title. Unlike most fighting games where you throw as many moves as possible (button mash, if you will), there needs to be a strategy for your actions as they will drain your ki. Blocking your opponent’s blows will restore some ki, so balance is critical. It would be best if you also kept an eye on your stamina bar, as this determines the strength and speed of your movements.

Martian Memorandum is a graphic adventure game developed and published by Access Software in 1991 for MS-DOS.
The North American company, founded in Utah, was famous for several sports games, such as the extensive Links series or even the Top Spin tennis game saga. In turn, Martian Memorandum was not the first incursion they had in the mystery genre, this entry is a direct sequel of Mean Streets and the second part of the Tex Murphy saga, consisting of seven installations.
This adventure is located initially in San Francisco during the year 2030. It is immersed in a dystopic future where the planet is still recovering from world war III. A part of the population is formed by mutants, victims of the radiation of the war, and the sun. The investigator Tex Murphy is hired by a multimillionaire businessman to find his missing daughter. Soon, the character finds several dark secrets that revolve around the disappearance of the young woman, which leads him to question all the people involved. After collecting several clues, he undertakes a journey to Mars, where the mystery continues.

Burntime is a strategy-RPG game developed and published by Max Design for MS-DOS and Amiga in 1993 for Europe and 1994 in North America.
Max Design was founded in Austria by the brothers Albert and Martin Lasser and Wilfried Reiter. It was dissolved in 2001, not before having made cult games like 1869 or the mighty Anno series (see Anno 1602: Creation of a New World).
The game is set in a post-apocalyptic version of the earth we know, where much of humanity is extinct and monsters created by the toxic waste that are now scattered around the planet, attempting to kill the survivors. After choosing a character class, the player must conquer what is left of the world and try to survive in the process.

Heretic is a first-person shooter developed by Raven Software and published by id Software in 1994 for the PC and Mac.
The game was published by the prestigious American company id Software, responsible for several masterpieces such as Wolfenstein 3D (1992), Doom (1993), and Quake (1996). Moreover, this is the first installment of a saga that would receive three other sequels: Hexen: Beyond Heretic, Hexen II, and Heretic II.
The plot of the adventure, which is very forgotten in this type of title, is located in an apocalyptic world where three brothers, known as the snake riders, possessed the 7 kings in force and corrupted their armies. The Elves, on the other hand, are resistant to magic and opposed the rule of dictators and were labeled as heretics. So an elf named Corvus - the main character of the game - embarks on a quest of revenge against the snake riders and their army.

Championship Manager 97/98 is a football-management game developed by Sports Interactive and published by Eidos Interactive in October 1997 for PC.
The series was created by the Collyer brothers, that founded Sports Interactive in 1994.
The Championship manager saga puts the user to manage the different football clubs in which, far from the formula of playing the matches, they are in charge of handling the administrative affairs of the club. Among all the doors that this opens, there is one of analyzing the market and negotiating for real players, of course, always taking into account the money that the club has. The title even has several details that give it more realism and immersion, such as being able to see how comfortable each character feels about the club he plays for.
